Hi all,
One day an electrician came over and did something to the electrics in the house when my PC was plugged in and turned on without being connected to a surge protected plug hub.
Anyway, after this happened my PC doesn't turn on any more when I hit the power button. I have to unplug the ATX cable and when I do so I see a little electrical discharge occur for a brief second.
when I plug the ATX cable back in to the motherboard it turns on. I have to do this EVERY time the PC is shut down.
Can someone tell me what this is? Has my PSU screwed up or the motherboard.
The problem I have now is when I play a game it runs for about 30 mins and then the computer just shut downs without warning.
What's wrong and how can I diagnose it?
Thanks
