I think a lot of people who blanket
drugs = bad and
drug dealers = bad people
are pretty ignorant and have no experiance with drugs at all.

Now you have some very nasty drug dealers where you live ! I remember scoring in St. Pauls once and having a very big scare involving one of the girls I was there with, 2 black dudes and a large knife. Fortunatley, we won that night and they ended up, well, you can guess what happened if our group walked away unharmed !

I've also been robbed of my drugs there by a couple of nasty rasta's at the St. Pauls carnival. For no reason at all, we were just smoking our weed and they pulled a knife on us and took it. It was bloody good weed aswell !!! LOL

Some guy growing marijuana in his attic for personal use and selling to a few select people (mostly friends/work colleagues etc) is hardly crime of the century.

Imagine the scenario: Joe Bloggs comes home from a hard day at the office. He crashes out on the sofa with either:

(a) A massive glass of whiskey;
or
(b) Several pints of bitter/lager/stout;
or
(c) A joint.

Name the difference. Personally, I don't see any.

As far as the harder class A drugs are concerned. Personally I believe it depends on the dealer. Some dealers only sell to people they know, and these are most likely responsible adults who have made their own choice to use a drug in which they are fully aware of the associated risks that are attached.

Then again, you get your dealers who are out to make an "easy buck" via any means necessary. These types of dealer sell to children--people who quite frankly don't know better, aren't a "responsible adult" and haven't made a rational decision as to purchasing the drug; not to mention the fact that they don't understand the effects that the drug can do!

A drug dealer supplying drugs to friends - whatever, I couldn't care.
A drug dealer supplying drugs to anybody who comes close, especially children - hang 'em, preferably high.

Before anyone asks, I don't do drugs. I have seen the effects that drugs can have on people's lives though. The junkie dude who made his own decision to take drugs--it's his life, his veins, his health; if he doesn't care about his life, then I don't care about his life.

The young kid who knows nothing of drugs and of their effects, takes drugs anyway and gets messed up.

What kind of a person feels the need to make a living messing up the lives of children?

But, like I said earlier: I couldn't care. If Joe Bloggs next door wants to inject whatever into his veins--go for it. That's his choice. I'll be at hand to call the ambulance if something went wrong.

However, if one of my children came home one day with drugs on them I would be extremely mad. Not just because my children should know better than even approach strangers, least of all take/buy anything off them; but also because the dealer who sold them the stuff should, quite honestly, know better (assuming he has an ounce of human compassion and responsibility). If my children came back from school with drugs.....I'd find out who sold the drugs to them, track down this dealer, and give him swimming lessons in one of the many canals around here.

Such scum deserve everything they get.

Then again, I doubt most people here have experience with drugs and/or children. So my point of view would be alien to most people.
