I used to have 2 Budgies back in the day. They were great, very funny, each with their own character.
We let them out every day and when they felt like it they would go back into the cage of their own accord. If they didn't like the cage, they wouldn't have gone back in.

Mine is great! a proper charactor hes nearly 4 now, and yea he talks a lot, loves attention but hes great. Has more charactor than most pets, and loves a good chat Constaintly making me laugh with his cheak.

They're awesome, loved my mothers one but had to move out so don't see it now Very tamable if you ave time...They have time as they have 60+ years time free normally

And copy pretty much anything!

You can't really have a chat though can you? They're only imitating stuff.

We had to take ours to the national parrot sanctuary, it used to make the most annoying squarks you could imagine, proper ear piercing squarks.
