I want a sequential gearbox!

It's a quick car - the work he's done to it has really worked well, besides it sounds great and that seq gearbox is fantastic. IMO that's not really a chav car at all - it's genuinely been modified by someone who is keen on mechanics and actually driving the ****ing thing like it's meant to be driven. I see he also seems to do track days - and I bet that car is a monster on a track.

A lot of haters in this thread - from generally people who consider themselves petrolheads yet seem completely clueless to this sort of enjoyment? :dunno:

Well said bud. Why is everyone so keen to bash the guys driving? It seems perfectly safe considering the traffic conditions.

not that im a 106 hater or anything

but pulling out of the corners, the Evo seems to be pulling away slightly. Look at 00:45 into that video. The evo is pulling away

He doesnt get much on him, apart from under breaking, untill halfway down the straight, when all of a sudden, he goes from level pegging with him, to reigning him in

either the evo backed off, or the evo hit some sort of limiter or something

*edit* watching him again, it looks like the 106 might have slipstreamed him.

yo' a hater! ;)

I reckon the Evo backed off, 106 was late on the brakes and entered the chicane too quickly. I did exactly that in my Civic except I just went straight on, ask Paradigm or Firestar:o:p

It's still one rapid car though.

Looks a nice car, have to say though, driving fast is ok, hooning round a near empty industrial estate is ok - but to keep going round and round the same stretch of roads while your mate video tapes you is another thing.

And for the person saying is it Brackmills? Are you any areas where there isn't a speed bump :)

Oh please.... Like none of us have had a bit of a hoon like that before...

Indeed. Like I said, I don't see anything 'dangerous' in that vid.

I reckon if it had been something more exotic than a 106 then peoples reactions would be very different...........

glad you boys are speaking sense. was gob smacked at some of the responses...

As for sequential boxes, not sure the difference tbetween those on a car or bike (maybe a bike isnt a "true" sequential box, but you generally use the clutch there, unless i'm accelerating hard, in which case i just just pull it in without.

Brothers racer has a straight cut dog box, and he just smacks it in when he's off as well - noisy bugger tho.

spot on IMO.

that certainly sounds like it would own most of the cars on here after the new build (with a few exceptions ;)) stupidly light and 350bhp? plus the awesomeness that is the AX chassis :p oh my.
