I want to play a classic pc game

Quake 2 is superb and trades blows with half life 2 for my favourite FPSer of all time. Doom 3 is also worth a look.

Fallout and Diablo are completely different genres and i do not think remotely compare (despite being good games in their own right)

for "classic" games tho... i must be showing my age however i would not consider Doom3, HL2 or quake 2 to be classic tho... very good, sure but they are not that old.

I would look at heretic, hexen, rise of the triad and maybe even the original unreal game (not tournament - tho that is a good game as well if you like arena shooters, tho i doubt many play that any more) (and of course the original Doom, and the one which for many of us started it all............... castle wolfenstein but that is quite dated now.

I used to Love playing Dungeon Keeper 1 / 2 back in the later 1990`s when I was in School.

There is a modern game similar called war for the overworld. I believe it is fan made after Dungeon keeper 3 was never released, much to the frustration of the fans.

Not sure if aware but ther'es another series similar to these, not played them yself though
