Metallica and Prodigy are particularly effective for me.

I listen to The Black Album and for Prodigy its Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005.

Some good Drum N Bass

Good dance/trance stuff (Electronica/Tiesto albums work well)

Good RnB and Hip hop is always the choice for me

i normally bust out a bit of the Prodge when i'm racing about like a madman. just anything with a beat that won't quit! i find Pendulum are pretty good for that as well. having said that, i normally just listen to whatever i want to listen to...dont really need music to keep me going. although the backstreet boys would make me want to leave the gym then burn it down...just to be safe
