From what I understand, the non k chip have there multipliers locked, so they can't be overclocked.
I think you can maybe squeeze 103 on the baseclock but nothing elseit's not worth trying to be honest as 3 mhz will barely gain you 100Mhz in turbo mode and that's if you're lucky with your chip.
K chips are for overclocking.
Go for the 3570k on any z77 board and click the auto OC button, zero effort these days, though you can do better than the auto setup does if your interested in putting in the effort
EDIT: theres no k overclock being added to most z77 boards but not sure how good it is
Temp is more depended on the airflow of your case though. Also, if you have a relatively small mini-itx case with restricted airflow, then all-in-one water coolers would work better than most heatsink.its going in a itx board and the extra heat from oc'ing means i cant do it. i was running a stock i3 2120 and it was running hot
so no FSB clocking at all

FSB hasn't existed for years.
As marine says, an AIO (While I hate them) will suit this, go for the cheapest i5 you can to be honest.
What case you got by the way?no room.
