Wasn't expecting you to say that as you jumped quite a few generations. I use my PC gaming and I'm considering an upgrade to am5 when it releases. Might have to look at perhaps getting a GPU upgrade instead as my 6700k ain't a big jump compared to yours and you say it ain't worth it.

You need to becareful as the CPU may hold back the new GPU, as the CPU is not fast enough to cope.

Gaming at 4K you will probably get away with it, however, any lower resolutions you may find that the the GPU is not 100% utilised.

So yeah, it’s a balancing act.

Fellow i7-3770k dinosaur here, I suspect I will upgrade next year after my PCs 10th aniversary and seeing how the Ryzen 4 VS Raptor Lake goes, hoping for next gen cards at a decent price.

I got rid of my 2.5” SSD (and spinning rust drive) for M.2 versions… I only game, so perfect for my set up.

Another 3770k owner here, am itching for release of AM4 so I can finally sort a new build, been patiently waiting but now I'm fed up Did at least manage to change out my 670 for a 1080 via a MM purchase a good few months back when I started to have more time to game again, but really looking forward to having something at a decent level again. Figure I'll keep the 1080 for now until new cards arrive, but the rest I want to sort asap. Really looking forward to actually doing the build, it's been so damn long!
