I7-7700 (non K) Extreme temps

I wouldn't assume you suddenly need to delid, somethig somewhere must have changed, what were the last updates you got in windows and when were they applied?

Only 2 updates have been applied recently, 10/04/2018 to be precise. They were 2018-04 cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64-based systems (KB4093112) and 2018-04 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64-based systems (KB4088785). Last updates were in March and the issue wasnt present then. I have created a support ticket with Intel, CPU still has warrenty until 2020 apparently, hopefully they'll just replace mine and that'll fix the issue?

This isn't software.

Also as the motherboard cpu temp sensor is showing sky high temps, it isn't a faulty sensor in the CPU.

Doesn't appear to be throttling but those are dangerous temps.

I would try a warranty claim, if rejected, a delid.
