7700k will clock to 5ghz. No way zen is going to do that.
Will it? Where have you read that?

The main trouble it will have is Zen 4c is likely to be a lot cheaper due to the lack of any integrated GPU, the only way 7700K is going to stay relevant is if Zen are comparatively poor overclockers or if Intel slash prices. I doubt Intel can match AMD prices with a GPU onboard though, not without making losses.
96 degree`s underload oO - this the new intel space heater edition?
Agreed. For Intel it really heats up AMD gives up the Zen based APU's, the GPU on those will most likely crush anything Intel can come up with on there mainstream K series.
Read the de-lided thread, Intel have been caught using rubbish TIM/toothpaste again.

Doesn't that Delid-Die-Mate make delidding really easy? does it support Kaby Lake?
Funny thing is most would pay that bit more for decent thermal paste usage by Intel. I can't believe they use such poor stuff!
so how fast is zen ?![]()
