i7 CPU Cooler Suggestions

I have few more days to make my mind as I have to opt for saturday delivery (no one at home all week). I'm not decided yet, not sure do I need THE best cooler out there or maybe something cheaper and a little bit worse. D14 is about 75£ + delivery and only can find it in some internet shops I've never heard about before.

If I decide on something other than D14 what would be your nr2?
 
so it looks like Thermalright Venomous X is almost as good as D14 and 30£ cheaper (+ 2 x 10£ fan that's still 10£ cheaper) and it's in stock on OcUK :)

I can't find SWiF2 fans on OCUK though
 
I think I will go for the Noctuas because I really need silence. Also I might use some Apaches. I think I will get the D14 because of the Ultra Low Noise setting. Nice benchmarks though, really useful thanks. ;)

I'm sure other high RPM fan might achieve similar results. Those were the only ones I had available here. Thermalright sent me a fan as well to test it with but it was broken when I received it :(. I was very surprised at how well it did coompared to the NH-D14, considering the size difference and the fact that some other sites are suggesting that it wasn't a great cooler.

I think I will go for V X, I'll pair it with good fan (or 2). As your test showed performance is quite similar, but its cheaper and smaller. Thank you Helios, you really helped me :)

What about the H50 I have had very good temps with that on my i7, havent really pushed the overclock yet (dont see the need as it burns through any task!) but its nice and cool
