i7 Temp Question

turbo boost mode is an option can be enabled in the bios. the multiplier must be set to auto though for it to be seen. it appears under the speedstep tech option i think

Well I gave it a go, ran Prime95 for 30 mins without issue, here's a screeny:

What is your Northbridge temp like? I'm having all sorts of trouble with mine since fitting an Akasa Nero (other coolers that use horizontal fan will be the same I think). Issue is that the stock HSF blows air down onto motherboard and cools the chipset at the same time. The horizontal fan does nothing to cool the chipset. It looks to be real difficult to get another fan in there so I'm thinking to put a 120mm fan in the side panel. At the moment I'm running with the side panel off, but still chipset is at 60deg with the cores at only 55.

There was quite a big jump in temp between 3.6 and 4.0, going on 20C. I am on water though so the temps will be a bit different.

I think my NB runs about the same, I don't have the fan on it - doesn't seam to need it.
