I bought a Thermalright phantom spirit cooler a couple of months ago and some of the fins were bent, the plastic seal was missing off the coldplate, the mounting kit bags had been opened with bits missing and used thermal paste so clearly was a customer return, sent it back and reordered and this time I got brand new unit so it seems a bit of a lottery.The rainforest website is just a like of poop these days. They don't care about CS and it's packed with scams these days.
I had a brand new Arctis 5 bought as a gift which was clearly used as the cables were sticky, dirt stuck everywhere, the plastic peels vaguely stuck back on... because it was bought as a gift we missed the 90 day window. They took so long to respond it went outside the return window and they "couldn't do anything except ask the seller" who obviously said "It was new, you're lying".
These days I'd rather pay extra somewhere like OCUK.
