i9 13900k showing wrong CPU (as i7 13700k)

The rainforest website is just a like of poop these days. They don't care about CS and it's packed with scams these days.

I had a brand new Arctis 5 bought as a gift which was clearly used as the cables were sticky, dirt stuck everywhere, the plastic peels vaguely stuck back on... because it was bought as a gift we missed the 90 day window. They took so long to respond it went outside the return window and they "couldn't do anything except ask the seller" who obviously said "It was new, you're lying".

These days I'd rather pay extra somewhere like OCUK.

I bought a Thermalright phantom spirit cooler a couple of months ago and some of the fins were bent, the plastic seal was missing off the coldplate, the mounting kit bags had been opened with bits missing and used thermal paste so clearly was a customer return, sent it back and reordered and this time I got brand new unit so it seems a bit of a lottery.

Amazon are very iffy when it comes to buying what they claim is "new", i dunno if id ever buy a gpu from them again after my experience with a return being flogged as new. It's a rarity for that to happen I suppose but if it does you're basically left to let amazon decide if it arrived as a different gpu, or you swapped it out and are trying to pull a fast one. Not the type of gamble id like to engage in with something costing £500 plus.

Amazon are great, they refunded my 1TB NVME drive in full, I was very pleased.

I have used the rainforest for years but for my last upgrade I got most of the bits from other places. I would not risk a mainboard or GPU and now don’t like getting SSDs from them. RAM, cables and other small stuff like that I’m OK with but its getting as bad as the bay for scammers.

Personally never had any issues and order from them regularly although I tend to buy PC gear from here due to the CS. Bought both monitors from rainforest as I knew they would have no issues sending back if dead pixels etc.
