i9 13900k showing wrong CPU (as i7 13700k)

Only buy from them direct and not third parties ;)

This won't keep you safe.

Amazon group together similar stock in their warehouse for sellers that use Amazon fulfilment.

Third party sellers can send their dodgy stock into Amazon and then even if you ordered from Amazon direct, they just grab stock from the nearest distribution warehouse, regardless of where it originated.

Buyer beware.

I must be lucky then, never had an issue and I use them a lot.

yeah, I love amazon, but several years back, I spent a hell of a lot on a NEW monitor, received it, box was fine etc..opened up and was all "grubby" could be cleaned so I was a bit More patient until power up. soon as I did the left half oof the screen was striped with red lines.

no problem on the refund, but was clearly not new.

I recently bought 2 Be quiet 140mm fans, advertised as new but arrived in a used condition with dust all over the blades.

The tell tale Amazon restocking stickers were on the packaging. Look out for this.

I think with the sheer volume of stuff Amazon gets through, it is inevitable that their staff don't bother to check everything thoroughly. I imagine quite a few dodgy returns are just processed through without checking and put back on the shelf as new.

With the Amazon sales recently I had 2 things turn up which IMO were previous returns, the outer packaging was loose in a way which suggests they'd been opened and the main item was in the kind of packaging you get when components are shipped in bulk as replacements and different in packaging style to the same item I've ordered in the past, while the accessories were unopened but in the original style packaging. I reckon Amazon has had a string of stuff returned missing the main item :s people really are scummy.

Yep. No doubt, and really there is **** all Amazon can do about it other than ban abusers. They know legal action won't be worth it/impossible to prove.
