Hi Guys,
So I've been looking to build a new rig for a while and like many have waited baited breath for the launch of the 9th gen Intel CPU, however like most I had initially believed this would be around the circa £500 mark and was ready to throw my money immediately so was somewhat surprised to see it launch at £599, now the whole USD vs GBP pricing differences aside because that's already been mentioned and grievances stressed in the i9 thread, I wanted to ask a simple question..
How is it that OCUK is selling an OEM chip at £599 and the retail version at £619.99? I know our beloved OCUK has historically been slightly more expensive but seriously OEM at retail prices? I know we are all embedded within the OCUK community but how on earth do they expect people to pay OEM prices for product which can be sourced at the same price for retail value elsewhere. I'm genuinely surprised and intrigued why people would pay this.
