Glad you posted that, reminds me I still haven't tested my tube! So much stuff has happened I haven't had the chance... Got about 2 weeks now though with nothing, so I'll make sure I get it done! If there was an extra tube that was going to go to me (as I was going to do gfx cards too), send it to the next on the list anyway. Being lucky enough to get one of the big tubes, getting an extra tube would just be a waste, as I won't need it, so better to go to someone who'll use it!
 
OVERALL IC-Diamond produces good results across the spectrum when used on a CPU. However the REAL difference is when used on a GRAPHICS card! When utilised on the latter then the difference is simply outstanding and the performance comparison is much greater.

This bares out our point that the MORE wattage you put through IC-DIAMOND in other words the harder you make it work the better it performs.

A spread sheet showing these results so far will be issued shortly.

Lastly can we strongly encourage those whom received a tube to please do their testing. Even allowing for those whom didnt receive a tube due to the post office mess up. there still should be MORE than 15 usable results. Can you all please make an extra special effort, now that the summer is almost over to record your results here.

Just came across this thread. Having some issues with temps on my i5 2500k with an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro - idle 60s and up into 90s load with no overclock. Would be interested in trying this paste and posting results if there is going to be another giveaway?

I doubt it as hardly anyone posted results from the first one, shame really as it stops companies giving away if they get no returns from it.

All I can say is it is worth buying it will certainly reduce your temps.
 
Just stripped and applied IC to my R9 290. GPU hits 57'c with all fans set to low. The stock Tim that came with the H55 was seeing 68'c under load. So quite a drop. Both temps along way from the 94'c with the stock cooler :)
 
Used it when I had an i5, good stuff. Would not use it again on a non clamping socket though, as it sticks so well it rips the cpu out the socket (ruined an older Athlon x2 like this.)

My future builds -modern chips- I will be using ic diamond again thanks to good performance :-)
 
We are somewhat disappointed with the amount of people that actually tested the results.

However the icd owner and I had a scheme that provided we get enough results, than the one whom went that 'extra mile' would have obtained 'sponsorship' from is which includes some hardware and free icd for 5 years.

To be honest whilst we are happy with the performance results, we are unhappy with the amount that of people that did the results.

However we are prepared to reward those whom performed the test.

I'm actually just starting to do mine, after not getting a chance over the summer!

Once my aircon has got the room temperature to a constant temperature, I shall begin my measurements :)

Sorry to see you didn't get as many responses as you should :(

Half tempted to get a small tube just to test on my MSI GPU anyway, but fundamentally as it only runs mid 60s, Im not sure how much cooler it'd get, as the MSI already has improved paste apparently.

My CPU cooler with the stock Corsair style stuff should be a bit more interesting though, especially as the paste hasn't been changed in a few years and temps seem to be on the rise.

That the top fan in the case is dying hasn't helped mind you...

Good luck with that Frostdragon, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

As soon as OCuK have the Enthoo Luxe in I'll be updating my 'puter, will have a look at the ic diamond then and might get a tube. Probably only going to put a simple loop on the CPU but will let you all know how it goes.

Awesome stuff. Let me know if you don't still have my address and I'll send it over by PM. I'll try and get some results up within a few days of recieving, although work allowing it might take about a week :)

Have you got any particular methodology on testing you'd like followed for temps? ie on and idling for 15 mins prior to testing, then min max over 10 runs of standard linpack?

That's disappointing. It took me all of two 30 minutes sessions to test my cpu and gpu, not entirely sure why people asked for a free tube and then couldn't repay the favour.

Still, it's the best paste I've ever used (and I've used quite a few), so i'll offer a thanks again for trying something interesting on the forums.
 
Purchased some of this compound from Overclockers and have just applied it. I'm getting about 8c lower idle than MX-2 and much cooler on load but the cooler was a little loose so wouldn't be an accurate comparison to post load temperatures.
