ICC Cricket World Cup ** spoilers ** [14th February – 29th March 2015]

Another shocking upset! Amazing scenes as India mutilates South Africa, romping home by a whopping 130 runs.

As always, the Saffas are furious at losing to a dark-skinned team...

That's a rather narrow-minded thing for you to say, but given your reputation on these boards, I shouldn't really be surprised. Then to top it off you go and make a quote up underneath as well to support your stupid comment. Pretty off of you to be quite honest.

That was a much better recovery from England. I watched the the first hour last night live, and then after deciding it was worth watching the rest, I watched the highlights this morning before work. Ali and Bell put on a good start and that allowed England a bit more freedom down the order. I still don't understand why they're playing Ballance instead of Hales though. He's just not performing. I think that Ali and Hales would be a rather explosive opening combo for England so perhaps they ought to give that a go in the next game?

Someone's satire meter is broken.

given your reputation on these boards

You mean my reputation of not being a white Anglo Saxon bigot?

Great knock by Moeen. I think he's one of the few batsman in the England team to have a lot of natural talent. Was a big win for England, they really needed that. I think they might just squeeze through in the quarter finals in forth place but knowing England they'll probably struggle against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Even Afghanistan aren't looking too bad at all.

Was huge win for India, great batting performance and shockingly even with the ball. I think they're all but guaranteed a place now looking at who they've go left to play. Wasn't expecting them to start so well after their dreadful tour down under!

You are being a bigot, as simple as that. Do you even know that the majority of south africans are non white, and the test captain is from Indian descent? It is not satite, you are just stereotyping an outmoded idea of South Africans.

As for the match South Africa were utterly outplayed - they looked a scared team with bat and ball. Hard not to say they chocked again at a big occasion, as they have been playing without fear for months now.

Not really impressed with Gayle at all. He seems to do really great against average bowlers (he does the same thing in IPL) but come up against anyone decent and he has more failures than successes. He reminds me so much of Graham Hick.

He can crack jokes since Australia treats their indigenous population so well.

:o

I think they really need to look at the batting/bowling balance with rule changes.

It's pretty boring when there's little chance of decent batting sides being bowled out, and too many 350+ scores is just a bit silly. Too much in favour of the batsman

True enough. I haven't been following cricket recently as much as I used to, but I remember where a 'good' score was around the 250-280 mark, and 300+ was exceptional. 200-250 was difficult, but still defendable. Doesn't seem to be the case anymore...

Though partly it is imbalance between the sides. WI clearly isn't at the level of SA anymore. You expect SA to do pretty well, and score well. Though even then, 400 is just ridiculous in an ODI. That's a test match, maybe declare, level :p

Great one man show by AB De Villiers :p

Evangelion, I didn't want to wade in - even if your comment was "satirical", we're pretty f%£$** over those kind of "jokes". It's about as funny as thinking that saying "g'day mate, throw some shrimp on the barbie" is an original line or to whip out the old "that's not a knife" line, when you're at said Aussie barbie.

That was an awesome game of cricket! I felt sorry for the West Indies but it was an amazing display of skill and ability by AB. When he plays like that though, there's very little that any bowler can do to stop him from hitting them everywhere. His shot options are some of the most varied I've ever seen. It leaves the opposition with very few options to deal with him, but I suppose that's what makes him the best one day batsmen in the world!
