What was the point of the tour of Sri Lanka and the Tri Series before the world cup? Taylor and Hales both played at 3 during those matches whilst Ballance didn't play at all, then as soon as the WC starts Taylor goes down to 6 and Hales gets dropped completely?
No wonder Ballance is in dreadful form when he had only played two games between the 23rd of September and the 14th of February. The selectors are utterly clueless.

I don't understand England at all. Their entire team doesn't seem to be able to be a single cohesive unit. Either their batsmen do well, or their bowlers do well, but they just can't both so well in a match. Their bowlers are rubbish these days, they just use the same tired old tactics over and over again, bowling in the same area, no variation, sticking with the same setup all the time and never changing to the conditions. Starting out with the usual Anderson-Broad combo, which to be frank just isn't working. Even the commentators have said that if the ball is swinging, get Woakes in to open with Anderson and bowl Broad later on. They don't seem to have any decent tactics in the field and too often they go into themselves when the other team start to do well. I just don't know what more they can do, their batsmen were aggressive that game and I really thought they had a great chance at winning but their bowlers let them down big time. Ah well, at least I've still got South Africa to support

Pakistan vs SA tonight and I really don't fancy staying up late to watch us get absolutely pummeled by SA. This has to be one of the worst Pakistan sides I've ever seen. Fielding is shocking, batting is way below par, and our main bowlers (Gul, Ajmal, Junaid, Hafeez) aren't playing for various reasons. We couldn't even bowl UAE out within the 50 overs the other day, what chance have we got against SA?

Pak have done reasonably well so far, SA are 94-5 and they need 232. AB is still in so it's anyones game...
