Ice Lake Xeon delayed to 2021, likely that Alder Lake delayed to 2022 also

Well this just proves i didn't make a mistake jumping on a cheap 9900k last year! Couldn't get my hands on a new Ryzen 5000 Chip so the 9900k it was without having to change boards. Will hold out until Either AMD or Intel make a significant leap.

If AMD have secured the wafers to build the Zen 4 chiplets then why not make them?
The data centre will love them, they can sell them at a premium to Zen 3 to consumers etc.
If they are on 5nm, they are hardly going to port Zen 3 to that node.
Once the 5nm fabs are up and running for Zen, AMD presumably have a contract with TSMC for so many wafers per period.
They aren't going to want to lose that.
Sure, they can build up stock of Zen 4 chiplets so that the launch is later and supply is higher.
But assuming no technical problems or shortage of materials, I can't see them wanting to delay by much.
