Identify this spider

Just interested to know what it is! I have a more interesting one living in the garage which I should really photograph.

A queen wasp looks more like this and has wings:

I beg to differ, one of my ancestors from the 14th century was employed by King Henry VIII to remove queen wasps and their hives from his various stately homes and castles, his legacy was passed down through the generations and I inherited his knowledge and expertise, it is in my blood.

As such, I feel I am perfectly placed to categorically state that the insect in the OP's pictures is definitely a queen wasp.

Lesser Spotted Tarantula Oblongata. It's venom is lethal and will cause you to slowly turn inside out whilst causing unsavoury thoughts about your mother.

It is a false widow.
