Wounding an animal and leaving it do die may be of interest to the RSPCA if the police don't do anything.
That would certainly lead to an exciting episode of street theatre.
If the OP mentions 'firearms' they'll be there quick enough. If they can be bothered to answer the phone![]()
Why not, it’s perfectly legal to own a firearm in the UK providing he has the required paperwork, just because the rules are stricter here doesn’t mean people can’t pass the required tests in placeI would collect the pigeon out of the bin and pass it to the police as evidence. He shouldn't own a gun.
It's a privilege, not a right, if you were shooting across the neighbourhood with an air weapon, which is a criminal offence, you can say bye-bye to your FAC.Why not, it’s perfectly legal to own a firearm in the UK providing he has the required paperwork, just because the rules are stricter here doesn’t mean people can’t pass the required tests in place

Growing up we had a next door neighbour who shot Magpies claiming they killed the smaller birds, however that was clearly just some tenuous reason to indulge in his sick desire to play with his gun and kill something.

Agreed he should lose his licence (if he actually has one) due to misuse but that’s for the law to sort out no someone on the internet, I have a couple of friends with shotgun licences and it’s really difficult to obtain one.He shouldn't have a gun because he is clearly unaware of the rules surrounding their use.
Magpies do eat birds, usually raiding nests and eating babies or fledglings but IMO this is no excuse to kill them, it is nature.
Lol gone are the days of making a make shift cage, piece of string attached to a trap door and a cool beer sat in the conservatory wait to yank when said pigeon went inside.
Depends if destruction of your hard work comes in to it, I guess you never lived on a farm or had a vegetable patch?Yeah. I think those days only ever existed for the mildly retarded.

Oh calm down dear!200 acres. Not huge. Plus for other pests we used spring loaded traps so you don't have to sit there like an idiot holding a piece of string.

Too much sun?I'm perfectly calm. You're the one that seems riled for some reason.
