IE V Firefox

I also think Opera is pretty fast, but where is the home page button?

I'm not a huge fan of the fact that opera doesn't have a home page button by default - but it's easily added. Opera is just as customisable as FF and it's definitely easier to change the layout of Opera compared to FF.

Firefox has way too many useful extensions, I could never stop using it. The google bar which gives you a list of suggestions as you type is amazing, as is the adblocking with the adblock addon. I also love mouse gestures, they really make browsing faster and more natural. When I'm doing web design, the web developer extension can be really useful.

You can pretty much get firefox to do anything you want, and if there's something on a specific web page you don't like, just whip out Greasemonkey and someone's probably already written a script to fix it.

quick launch bar,
spell checker
add ons.

firefox rules and with the new version, it's solved my only problem I had with it, which was it not saving the go to last read message on this forum.

Been using IE7 on Vista 64bit for months but I too wondered about FF and started using it, well with popup blocker and spell check, plus the themes and add-on's you can speed it up and make it look pretty cool, it always just works as it should where I have had issues with certain sites on IE7 so I'm staying with FF for good now :D

i dont like the ie interface, why have buttons on the right? when every other programs buttons ever made are in the top left, really annoys me, so cant use ie7.

i used to use opera untill it decided it doesnt like youtube and stopped loading vids, so firefox it is.

p.s. anyone got any links to nice skins that are sleek but also are very usable?

I quite like IE7 but any IE always going to be the primary target of any malicious coding.
Opera > Firefox > IE for me personally.

IE is badly coded - that goes for IE7 too,
...

IE7 is okay, it has its bugs (far more than Firefox or Safari) but I don't hold a grudge against people using it.

So you've read through the source of IE, FF and Safari? IIRC only one of those is open source.

IE6 is indeed horrible, theres no doubt about that, but as I type this message in IE7, I think it has improved with the newer version. IE7 doesn't come with memory leaks!

Safari has to be the worst browser I have ever used! Not to meantion just plain ugly! I'd rather use Lynx (which I quite often do).

first post here, but firefox does it for me every time because of the addons mentioned...and NoScript (here) a bit of extra security.

actually, i love it because there are so many addons in so many different flavours.

Ever since my mate recommended FireFox to me ive never looked back. Fantastic browser imo. Looks good and works just to my tastes!

I've got to admit - I haven't tried IE recently. Just got too used to Firefox tbh. No real rason to switch though!

hmmm, all the addons mentioned seem to feature in IE7 as well.

i have just installed iepro and spell checks as i type! brilliant....

i have mouse gestures as well as ad blocker. i think i will stick with it.

:)
