IE V Firefox

There's a couple of other things I really like about FF - you can download without clicking on that stupid yellow flashing bar and you can insert pictures into forums without a warning message popping up.

I like firefox but the memory leaking is just terrible, i don't know why that is. IE is very good but lacks add ons. Opera looks very nice but i've not spent the time needed to set it up how i want it.

taking memory and not giving it back. for example i'm sitting ona 1gig machine with firefox and outlook open and i only have 300mb left. If i were to close firefox that would shoot up to about 600mb and i only have 5 tabs open. When you first open firefox it probably takes up half that with the same number of tabs open

I use firefox and i get IE 7 giving me pop ups whilst using FF what on earth is going on there bizzare !

Firefox currently using 260 megs, but I have a whole heap of tabs open. I occasionally use IE7 + IE7 Pro which is a wonderful add-on for it and it makes it really very good, little to choose between the two for me, but I just prefer the FF UI

hi guys,

i use and have always used IE (now on using IE 7). i like it, think its easy to use and dont have problems with it.

i see on here and in other places people slating IE and telling me to get FF. is this just becuase FF is much better, or is it because people hate MS.

i will happily try FF and use it if its better, can you tell me why its better and what addons make it so?

ta

I find firefox much faster than IE7 espically with pipelining enabled, adblock plus blocks all ads, jpg, gif, flash etc. Noscript stops crap being run in the browser. Plus it only uses 32MB of ram, even with 20+ tabs open.
