Why are you made to feel like a lepper if you say "I like IE7"?

I have tried Firefox several times and have allways reverted back to IE7.

People will flame me, but IE7 is more than adequate for what I need from a browser at the moment.

I'm tempted to move back to IE7 (well not used IE in years). The main bug bear for me is the slow loading of images...it really, really annoys me :(

Have you tried IE7 Pro? that adds a lot of stuff to IE thats in FF

i have ie7pro installed, but its still not quite "there" when comparing to firefox as the list of available extensions far outnumbers what ie7pro can dream of.

i like the flexibility of the different extensions available to me. take stylish for example, that is a great extension that lets you change the look/feel of a website by adding a bit of code (for example my OCUK forums has a grey theme to it), cant do that in IE7 afaik..

Geek fanboy-ism. You can't avoid it. You can ignore it.

Ewww FREAK get him lads!

Seriously though the benefits of Firefox are far far greater than the stock usage of IE or even Opera, I mean look at this as an example of a forum I frequent and how FF is able to change the layout for max usability:

IE:

Firefox:

I use IE7 and I don't feel like I'm being oppressed on here. IE6 was another matter though... :(

IE7 on Vista is the most secure browser so that alone is a good enough reason to use it I suppose. Also the most "compatible" I find.

I don't have any problems with IE. I have always used IE and always will apart from checking out FF for an hour and didn't like it. IE is built into the browser, which gives a good overall feeling when doing tasks. Just my opinion.

An hour is absolutely not enough time t spend with a browser in all seriouslness.

This is why I installed every new version of Opera for months just to see if things had improved but not to the same levels of FF.

hehe. I use IE7 at work which I really like and don't feel the need to use anything else. I use Safari at home which i equally like.

More secure than Firefox with NoScript?

I run
NoScript
CS Lite to control cookies
SafeCache
SafeHistory
TrackMeNot
and Adblock Plus

I feel pretty secure :D
