For me it would have to be a team which put more into their games than would be considered to be required, they would have no competition driving them forward after all. Rockstar for the win![]()

In the past tho... OCEAN... They ROCKED!!!! What ever happened to them?
WatchTower said:I'm shocked no one has said SNK. Metal Slug anyone?
are you sure that's right... one hundred million???noob said:Ocean was acquired by Infogrames in 1998 for £100,000,000 and renamed to Infogrames UK.
Problem is we would all have to wait eighteen months for a mere snip of a game to come out.KNiVES said:Yeah, Valve may have only made FPS games, but they have a really good development ethos that I can see would work pretty well with any genre they put their minds to. The programmers there definitely know a fair bit about the graphical and engine side of things.
But I dont like any of those games so I wouldnt chose em. With regards to the controller, they all rip each other off in this business although I prefer to think that they improve on each others designs tbhAlexrose1uk said:If you look back over the history of gaming, I'll think you'd find Nintendo have provided that quality, most of the Metroid, Zelda and Mario games are still considered classics, which they wouldnt get if they were averagenot to mention the lesser known titles
You might not like them, but you cant argue they've not had a distinct impression on gaming history!
They've also provided a lot of things to the gaming market - rumble, the ps controller was an almost direct rip off of the snes one etc
Psyk said:Square-enix. Of course if you're not into RPGs you'd be a bit boredThey're great at what they do but their games catalogue doesn't really have a whole lot of variation.
