It depends entirely on how Valve can manoeuvre other companies to support it.
Of course Valve isnt a stupid company, they will do what they have done for the past decade, being patient and offering a better option (though unlikely in the beginning).
Eventually it will force Microsoft to actually do something other than copy Apple, perhaps we will actually have a worthwhile competition.
i dunno. i think most sensible adults are past caring now. sure i'll be all over it like a rash if it ever gets released as a windows game but i won't be jumping through any hoops to play it on another device. **** em.

Probably not. I've never really understood the community's fap fest over Valve and my track record with Linux is appalling.
I've been running Windows (and even Mac OS ) for twenty or more years and when I've tried to dabble in the past I've not even been able to install distro's. Even running Live CD's just presents me with a very confusing new way of doing things. I'm afraid that OS is just too nerdy.
I don't have a Valve account and no real interest in one. If developers made more mainstream games for both Windows and Linux however, I might be tempted to switch to a Linux distro.
