If you could change one thing

I want the power of flight.

...or so much money I could re-create the movie "Iron Man".

Is that's because of things that have happened / you've done?

In a way.

Most of it is generally regarding myself as a misanthrope.

I'm a person thats usually in a good or joyus mood but I'm never happy inside and don't think I ever have been and I can't see myself ever being so. In perspective my life could be far worse but on the same coin it could be far better. Either way I think I would be just as miserable. Maybe its my mental attitude or maybe I'm just in the wrong walk of life I dont know.

In regards to it being because of things that happened; When I was younger I always had a romantic view of the world, I always grew up believing that even though there are bad people in the world there will always be more good. Now I've come to be more aware this isn't so and is quite the opposite, a massive majority are self centered respectless and mostly disloyal morons. The only way I'm at my happiest is when I'm on my own but then I'm lonely.

I feel trapped by life basically. The things I've done to try to change that has never worked, perhaps I need to try harder.

Hopefuly I'll find something that will change all this one day.

Also I'd ban people from saying "save the planet" I mean come on people the planet doesn't need saving unless a larger object capable of smashing it into little pieces is heading for it.

Have you ever thought of seeing how bad the world can actually be, in order to raise your overall opinion of everything else? Go volunteer in a famine ridden country, see the fact people can be and usually are inherently good. Ignore the individuals that have been spoiled by modern day life.

Yes I do see how bad the world could be, I did say I have perspective on how things could be so much worse. I do do (no poop jokes) volunteer charity work surrounded by wonderful people. Doesnt change my view on things though.

I want to give you a hug.

Well I wish you luck :)

If I was to be selfish I suppose I'd make it so that I'd never have done any of the things that I'm remorseful/shameful for doing in my life.

Non-selfish approach would have to go three ways, nuclear fusion, genetically modified humans, and no more need to farm animals for food.
