If you could choose Arsenal or 'Boro winning the Cup ??

I think Man U have as well over the last 5 years. Don't get me wrong, Arsenal often do play great football, but a lot of the time it can be loads of pretty passages of passing leading to nothing in particular.

Mind you, watching the innovative ways that Reyes finds to fall over has been entertaining over the last couple of seasons! :p

I'd say Man U play effective football, incredibly well, rather than actual good football to watch. Chelsea play effective football better, nether is particularly pretty to watch, Man U have got better when they dominated English football they were aside from results often not that interesting to watch at all, in the past 5 years they have got better but Arsenal play much better football to watch, it isn't always as effective, but it's a damn sight better to watch as a neutral.

Well I'm a Boro fan so the obvious answer from me! I've booked the time off work and got a ticket on the eurotunnel, but I can't see being able to pick up a ticket in this country (have you seen the ebay prices :( ). Hopefully we'll be able to pick some up over there as 6000 have been sold to neutrals. If not, it'll be in a bar watching it with the Dutch like at AZ Alkmaar.

I do think that our cup run has been more to do with the players than the manager to be honest. As an England fan, I don't think this is the right appointment at all. It was only a couple of months ago we lost 4-0 at home to villa and were in the relegation dogfight. Have you seen the ammount of goals we've condeeded as well? I think only Sunderland have let in more.

Bit of an unfair question methinks. I'd love it if arsenal won the cl because they deserve some european accolade given they have been great to watch in the prem over the last few years. But i also want boro to win. Saw the bechaurest game, magic!

If i had to choose, then arsenal because id rather and english team won the CL then UEFA. Of course it'd be best if Arsenal win the CL, Boro the UEFA and England win the WC!

Woo Brittania rules the waves!

I think it might help Steve Mclaren if he gets the England job after winning the UEFA cup, it doesn't sound like too many people are behind him (not including me).

And I'm a Spurs fan. ;)

My unbiased opinion is that Arsenal deserve some European success after the last decade or so, their football has been scintillating at times and a pure joy to watch, so Come On You Gunners!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly congrats to both and a fantastic achievment.

As title if you had a choice in one or the other winning their respective Euro cup this year who would you go for ?

Personally I would go for Boro. If rumours are to be beleived that Steve McClaren is to be next England Manager then it gives his position a little more credibility in some peoples eyes. Be good to see one of the smaller teams in Europe do well. Plus I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them since the days when we signed Pally and Robbo was their manager

always knew u loved boro loki :D

Thought that was a Man City fan posting then going on about deserving success :D

Joking aside it would be nice to see Arsenal win the cup

Easy answer...Boro all the way!

I just couldn't handle Arsenal winning their first European Cup/Champions League. I can't wait to see Wenger and Lehman's faces when Barca beat them.

The only guy i will feel sorry for is Thierry Henry. Hopefully losing the final to Barca will make his mind up about leaving.

Both ideally but if I was forced to choose then Arsenal, on the basis I'd rather an English team win the premier cup competition than win the also-ran competition.

Arsenal, simply because it's about time for Arsene to win it. It's one of two things that I believe is missing from our trophy cabinet along with back-to-back league titles (which I don't think we'll ever get tbh..)

Arsenal are one of the select few clubs to win it 3 times in a row!
