Nah, I'd prefer the memories than to play it now. I'd like to turn back time and play the old game again, but that's not what's in question...

atm games for me are kinda running dry, nothing really takes my fancy so if I had the chance to re-play "old school" SWG i'd jump at it!

I liked the bit where you left the ship for the first time and saw the beautiful sun filtering through the hazy clouds and that waterfall.. Oh lordy!

As would I.

Google for SWGEMU.

Definately:
Half-Life
System Shock 2
Knights of the Old Republic

ANY LucasArts adventure game.

yeah I have been looking into it, but to be fair an MMO requires a lot of time, dont think i'd want to put that into something that isnt "legit" since it could just dissapear. maybe..its time to let go :(

Day of the Tentacle

Definately! I can complete it without even thinking about what I'm doing or paying attention to the storyline.
I'd also have to say FFVII. I've only completed disc one, but it would still be nice to do it all again for the first time.

For real old school it would be descent as that game rocked and was damn hard. The best one was descent 3 with the adaptive AI... ie start pounding a little ship and it runs away, finds its bigger buddies then comes back. Having that happen the first few times was great :D
I loved Descent I thought it was as in that little ship blasting stuff.

Would have to echo that list, System Shock 2 being number 1 for me, only game I ever stopped playing so I could turn the lights on :p

The first System Shock was the best. Total immersion for the time. I remember seeing the opening cut scene after installing my new creative sound card and it blow my mind. AWE32. remember that. Also had a gravis ultrasound.
Diablo. The music was so haunting.
Total Annhilation. Classic!
Ground Control. The best ever RTS IMHO. They totally messed up the second.
Eve. My first MMO
Wow.
