If you could go back in time, where would you go?

To the future. I want space travel now.

Of course, I'd be sure to bring some sort of hazardous environment suit just in case the future isn't filled with spaceships and is in fact filled with brain melting radiation.

If time travel were possible wouldn't we have seen someone from the future by now?

That's the problem with it, if Time Travel were possible in the manner we are thinking about it then where are all the time tourists? Of course this assumes that we as a civilisation survived long enough to complete such technical wonders (or any other for that matter).

However, I also remember reading about using some spatial anomalies such as wormholes to time travel but such methods would only allow travel as far back as the point at which the artificial time travel wormhole was created owing to it being at a fixed point in space and time (of course this was in a pseudoscience book and my memory is a bit vague with regards to the details but I think this is the gist of it). If such a method were to work then taking a holiday in dinosaur times would be impossible :(

1942 (help hitler, not to win, but to prolong the war 10 years)
Even if you're drunk, for saying that imo you should seek help. Wars are bad, mmmmkay ?

1. Shoot margaret thatcher in the face several times with a shotgun and then cut her up and feed her to pigs.
2. See the Who at woodstock
3. Shake Frank Sinatras hand

I'd add in kill the **** out of George H W Bush before he could procreate and have George W Bush but you know, only so many idiot politicians I can kill.
Errr ?

Anyways, I would go back to being 10 or so, when you could masterbait, and keep the ''nice feeling'' of coming for over 30 mins because nothing came out :). I so miss those days where you could keep going for even an hour, and didn't relate that ''nice feeling'' to something to do with sex but it was simply playing with your johnson :(.

So you'd go back in time to play with a younger version of yourself .

That's just wrong! :p

Probs go back to when i was 10 and force my youngself to go out more and exercise. Also go back to 1990 to prevent my grans cancer by catching it early so she didnt die.

Wtf and lol also? I don't remember being able to go again immediately after just because I couldn't ejaculate!

I would go back in time and document platinum87's journey through life, then turn it into an award-winning comedy / documentary on how not to do it.

Are you sure you wouldn't go back to the point you bought your Golf, and change your mind and buy a BMW instead? :p

I don't know how it worked but I was one of the lucky ones and discovered ''it'' at a very early age, I can clearly recall you could keep the feeling you have just before ''it's done'' for ages. It's not about being able to go immediately after, it's about begin able to keep the feeling for far longer times. It was pretty innocent in your mind too as you didn't relate it to any ''dirty'' thought you just did it for the feeling.

1) Back to 1972 to Miami and get tickets to all of the Dolphins' games in their perfect year.
2) Back to ancient Egypt and watch the pyramids being created and experience their intellectual system.
3) When Jesus was around in Israel to meet him in person.

Also I have a question: If you went back to a lottery date with a ticket with the numbers, would you definately win or would it have the same chance of winning as for next week's lottery. I.e. Does time continue as was or are random events random again in the continuing flow of time?

Strict rules & Policing of the space-time continuum before the first instance of time travel. Otherwise alterations to this time may negate the machines from ever being built.

Possibly :(. But don't tell anyone ;).

Anyway, no time machine is required to change my mind about the Golf, as I could sell it right now with little to zero financial loss and 7 months free motoring :p. But please let's not drag Golf vs. BMW into this thread aswell :D!

Snowdog, I can't relate to that as I had dirty thoughts from as young as I can remember. But you made me lol again!

if there was a time machine would you honestly send back tourists?

I suspect they'd only go back to the time machine being created to make sure they didn't **** things up too much.

1. (Mid / late 60's) Seeing and experiencing Pink Floyd or 'The Pink Floyd' as they were known then with Syd Barrett as their lead man. They played at the UFO (pronounced You-foe) club. Their set had iirc use of the light technology (using oil coloured patterns on glass slides) which helped create psychedelic atmosphere all around the public as they were dancing to the bands music.

2. Watch (ideally be present) in the same time period as above when Bruce Lee was teaching self defence classes.

3. Being a fly on the wall when Carmack and co. released Quake in 1996. The momentum and excitement must have been incredible.

Those are just examples, probably could think of more but they were the first I could think of.

Indeed all it takes is one loud mothed fool & Reality as they know it might cease to be. Thats probably the main reason they don't travel back or if they do make themselves known. The results of doing so would be impossible to predict it could change reality for the better or destroy it.

Obviously all time travelling tourists will be given one of these
