If you could go back in time ?

To be honest, I'd probably go back 2 years and not buy this damn house. Then I wouldn't be stuck in a vermin-ridden council estate paying over the odds on a mortgage for a life I despise.

Why not rent it out, then rent somewhere in an area you prefer? Sorted :)

Sell it? If you can obviously.

Or can you not go anywhere else?

Can't rent it as nobody in their right mind will pay enough per month to cover the mortgage in this place - and we simply can't afford to lose out per month here plus rent and live somewhere decent.

Can't sell it either as the mortgage is basically brand new, and with the fall in house prices I'm sure we're already in negative equity. Nobody would buy it from us either - trust me. Houses for sale all over here and none but the best are being snapped up.

Nothing to do but sit tight and pay our way through. A decent couple stuck in a hell hole due to finances. I've sat here many times and just thought about not paying the mortgage until we default - seems the only way out, but I'm sure the courts won't be so kind.

I think I'd retrace my family tree, and possibly watch myself developing over the early years (especially the ones I can't remember) to gain a new perspective on myself. I think it would prove for some very interesting reflection.

For one that doesnt involve money or self gain. I'd probably go back to myself as a kid and mum and dad when things were getting really tough and tell them everything will work out ok.

Go backwards as little as possible, but further enough to make a substantial change to my financial situation. Causality worries me :|

Maybe make the Treaty of Versailles much less punitive against Germany. That might avert WW2.

Back to some point during the construction of Stonehenge to find out why they were building it.

Maybe back to assassinate Abraham and thus stop Judaism, Christianity and Islam. I probably couldn't kill him, though. Maybe I could figure out a way to stop him doing it.

To go back for personal reasons in the current time - biggest lottery ever. Simplest way to get a lot of money.
