Beer because I don't go round smashing other guys back doors in :)

Is that a comment of painful experience based on being out with people drinking other than beer? I can see how that might prejudice your views somewhat. :p

Yeah. That's not so bad. It's people who drink only lager that I don't understand. Each to their own I guess.

Personally I've never had any particular lager and wanted another one. To me, they're almost completely tasteless. For example Budweiser, I really don't understand how you could want to drink a beer that barely tastes like one.

You didn't pick well there, Budweiser is just bland and inoffensive if you're talking about the American version - it's got an alcohol content and it shares the name but that's about where the similarities to the original Budweiser end (also known as Budvar, from the Czech Republic) as that actually tastes fairly decent. There are plenty of decent lagers available but picking mass produced American ones isn't likely to give you a good representation.

Chose wine because you didn't have Stout on your feebly small listing.

Stout would come under the general heading of beer though, it's simply a subset of beer which includes lagers, ales, stout etc.

I think of the choices I'd have to go with wine but I have and will continue to enjoy beer, wine and spirits on occasion as they've all got a place in drinking for enjoyment.

Yeah, I chose bud because it's probably the worst beer I've ever tried. I have a mate who loves the stuff and I just don't understand why, he may as well drink alcoholic water IMO.

I have had lagers outside of this country, in Germany for example, where I was told my opinion on lager would definitely change. This wasn't the case :p

I can't remember the names of the beers I tried there but while they were a massive a improvement on the tripe sold in our supermarkets and pubs, they still didn't do it for me. Too fizzy and just...missing something.

Spirits for me.

I love beer (not so much wine) but the range of different spirits for all occasions would sway my decision towards that.
