If you were to build a uber graphics setup which platform would you use ?

I'm quite happy with my X79/4930K/tri-titan setup

Nothing would offer me an appreciable improvement at this point... I think I will wait till a 2 card setup will give me a big boost over the three i have now, so not big maxwell, maybe Pascal, and probaly still on X79 what with DX12 coming
 
is it true to say that whilst 4k can help with jaggies (and in any case aa can do do more with less)....texture resolution is not even 1080p...not sure why id spend so much even if i wanted to afford it.

Seriously though, unless you are going 4K and multi screens, I would find it very hard to justify paying the prices of the very top end cards, and even then, I would not be able to justify it purely because by the time you havefitted them and installed the drivers,the next gen will be out and the cards that you are about to start up for the first time ever, can now be had for half the price you just paid for them.

Well... You know what I mean.
 
Money no object? Id just go straight to Amd and give them 1 million quid to give me the best thing they have to date.

Surely they have projects behind closed doors, something like a gpu that uses 2000W of electricity but produces 100+ fps in all games at 4k which they made as a experiment, but ofc no one would realistically buy.
