Far better. DR is one of, if not the best, game on the console. There's so much to do :).

Couldn't dissagree more tbh. It's a decent enough game, though there is very little to do within it. As with Condemned, Dead Rising is very much a play for a bit each day game and not particularly absorbing... at least I don't think so.

Ones to get stuck into are Saint's Row, Oblivion... possibly but TDU to a lesser extent and perhaps Just Cause.

Just went out and got a 360 Premium pack and a VGA HD adaptor (official MS one) to plug the baby into my 2407.

I ended up getting 3 games... not my intention though. I bought the machine on its own, cos there where no good games in the deal, so then went elsewhere to see what was about. Saw TR Legend for £29.99 and I LOVE TR, although I have this on the PC, I had to get it on the box, for the graphic enhancements, and the controls!

Then I really wanted Condemend, so went elsewhere and saw it for £49.99... thought, no chance at that price. But it was on a deal, buy it get another free, so picked that up and GRAW... effectively got GRAW for free, so not too bad.

Gonna download Dead Rising as I do really wanna check that out.

Feel in debt now though... especially as Im in the process of buying a place in London :(

Hitman has probably been the best single player game i have played on the 360 so far.....Graphically it may not be groundbreaking but its slow paced gameplay creates great tension when playing at times.....I seriously couldn't put it down till i completed it, the same with GRAW

Then you have TDU or Saints Row.......Urgh, i hate having to make choices :(

;)

/edit - You'll get Condemned on that auction place for under 20 quid no probs! ;)

Good choices. All 3 are good games.

Now I kinda know what type of games you like, I'd recommend COD2, Dead Rising (truly fantastic), Kameo (really is good fun - (fun being the important word)), Hitman: Bloodmoney, Prey, and ...

I'm playing through Enchanted Arms atm, and ok, the first couple of hours are a bit pants, it's totally linear, some of the dialogue is worthy of a comedy award and the random fights are way way way too frequent but I'm loving it. I don't play many jrpgs and it's about as trad. jrpg as you can get so it's maybe the different style I like. Worth a look maybe.

smcshaw pretty much all games i like.

I already have Hitman, COD2, Prey on the PC... first persons really belong on the PC for me, but I felt diff with condemned as that dont have many guns, so dont require the ease of the mouse control. Also it was really made for the box, so it will be better on there.

Really desperate to try out Dead Rising, as so many people like that, so wanna get that d/l. Also want to get the demo of Just Cause, to see if the controls on the 360 are better than thr shoddy ones i have on the PC version.

IMO Dead Rising is poo, but ive only played the demo, and people tell me the real game 1000x times better ...

Also, Just Cause demo is ace!! but im told the full game is very short so only worth a rental.

:D

I quite liked the Just Cause demo but recently bought Dead Rising which I've played to death, Saints Row, which I enjoyed but have drifted off quite quickly and plan to go back to and Enchanted Arms which for some reason, as I've said I'm really into atm.

I used to think exactly the same about FPSs belonging on the PC but really changed my tune playing COD2. Now I can pick up, GRAW, Prey etc and feel straight at home. (I and a few others would even say we prefer the controller over the mouse / keyboard now; still that's for another (well-repeated) arguement. Still, if you have a good PC and prefer playing FPS there, sweet, but don't miss out on the 360 exclusives.

Condemned is a great experience. Just take your time with it, if you play it at a fast pace you'll miss what the game is trying to do. Play it at night, lights low and a bit at a time and you'll love it.

Deffo wouldn't be TDU or PGR as I hate racing games with a passion... they bore the hell outta me.

I have oblivion on the PC and must have racked up MANY hours on that puppy.

decisions, decisions, decisions :)

Well thanks for telling us. Next time you want recomendations please state games you already have/hate.

Don't get a 360 then if you don't like racers and also feel FPS's belong on the PC (which I disagree with).

edit...just noticed, you already got one

Calm down my man, there are other types of games, also xbox exclusives, and as you say too late cos i already got one :) Take it you are a fan of racers... sorry if I offended you

I was DEFFO gonna get a 360, simply to get Splinter Cell on it, im a HUGE SC fan, and completed the last 3 bout 1000 times all on the xbox... wouldn't be right getting it on the PC.

Also I have another question. I initialy plugged my xbox in with the componant connected, went to set up my res and it gave the HDTV options of 720, 1080 etc. 1080 flickered on my 2407, so went to 720 and that was ok.

Well I then plugged the offical VGA i bought and the options changed to proper resolutions as we know them 640x480 etc. I set it to the highest and it looked FANTATIC. Anyway my question is, games say on them if they support 720, 1080 etc... well does that effect the fact that i am running it in resolutions? i.e. a game that only supports 720, well I res fall down cos of that?

Hope that makes sense?

ta

It shouldn't matter what resolution you run the 360 at as it renders everything at 720p and then scales up or down accordingly. So in theory it shouldn't affect game performance either. You just select the resolution that matches your screen the best and away you go.

It was wise to use VGA, I think it looks a lot better than component.

PS...PGR3 rules :p

it does look much better, but the main reason i got it was cos i heard the componanbt on the 2407 was LANGUAGE!, so I thought.... save myself a trip and get it now, deffo worth the dough! And when I set it to the full res, it looked great.

Gotta see what games look like yet :)

Gotta admit that PGR looks great, just racing games bore me too much, each to their own though!

Get Burnout Revenege anyway and come play online with Me, Nokkon, J, MadFruit, Cocopops, Suarve, Dolmio Chips, Exact Bananas and there are probably a few more....

Absolutely riot tbh :)

If your unsure just grab it 2nd hand or what not and at least give it a bash - nothing quite as satisfying as stuff J/Whiteroser into a wall at 180 and cackling madly :>

:D

thats mainly cos the demo was just "wrap stick round zombies head, kill and repeat!" lol

the proper game has actual missions and objectives to do as well as zombie killing :)

I'd recommend Dead Rising, as much as I hate zombie games (due to me being a big wuss and having an insane fear of zombies) it's pretty awesome. Seems to have a fair decent story and it's a good laugh mowing down hordes of zombie shoppers. I like how frantic some of the situations can get, and also how pathetic the zombies are. :D (not those ones that sort of jog a bit though, I hate them)

Yeah I downloaded the demo of dead rising, gotta admit I didnt like it too much. It did feel like, just kill the zombies here thats it, didn;t really know what the aim of the demo was.

But I hear the full game is better... just not willing to slash out £44 on it if its not.

On the other hand I just downloaded the saints row demo, thats is impressive, really liked the feel to that game!
