I've been working my way through some House episodes and last night it was time for "Son of Coma Guy" where a man who had been in a vegetative state for ten years woke up.

The first thing he said was

Coma guy said:
I'm starving. I could really go for a steak

This got me thinking.

What meal would you go for if you just woke up from a ten year coma? You don't know how long you've been out so it probably just feels as though it's been a long sleep.

Ten years ago I was starting to really get into Mexican cuisine, so probably that!

But yeah, I'd have a juicy steak. 30 oz, rare, and a pint. Sorted.

I'd be craving for coffee before being able to think about food. Bacon roll is a good shout for first thing to eat then I'd need to build up to a curry once firing on all cylinders.

One of the nurses/doctors.

Some of them are absolute snaccs and I would think after 10 years my body would be all about eating them rather than actual hunger.

Salt & pepper chicken pieces, fried rice with a little bit of curry on top. My first treat meal after I got out of hospital.

I'm not into hospital food, so I'd be down the nearest decent pub for a pint or four, the food could take second place to the ale ;) There again, the ale would probably be what put me in hospital in the first place.... Then it would be a nicely prepared roast lamb.

What wouldn't you know?

Smartphones, tablets, Facebook, Google, 911, PC correctness, war on terror, school shootings, GWB, Trump, Brexit(but is that really a big deal?) - not a huge amount in PC gaming, ray tracing a bit, faster pcs.

What other major developments?

Bit similar to people who've spent 30 years in jail.
