Iiyama ProLite B2888UHSU-B1 28" 4K 60Hz

I see these monitors are due a free upgrade with a freesync chip. You just pay shipping and Iiyama will do the upgrade free.

I hope this is across all iterations of the 2888!!!

iiyama to release deetails soon according to Gibbo.

Check the speil in the product description at OCUK

Just seen that these will get a Freesync upgrade. I hope that's true, and more importantly I hope mine is the B1 version (it probably isn't, it's probably an A1 version that doesn't get the upgrade).

* I don't know that the A1 version isn't getting the upgrade, it'd just be my luck is all. I don't even know if there IS and A1 version!

Help please...

I have just bought this monitor. Running a EVGA titan black, set the DP to 1.2 in the OSD, installed latest monitor driver and geforce driver and using DP cable supplied my IIyama. I am only able to select 30hz at 4k res, 60hz is not available unless I drop the res down to 1080p. I am lost at what to try next.. Please help.

cheers

I need help as well with the same problem as michaelosmolski.

Just got the monitor yesterday.
Have turn on DisplayPort 1.2 in the OSD. But only get 30hz available in Windows 8.1.

My set up is base model MacPro so AMD dual FirePro D300 gfx.
Bootcamp running with Win 8.1.
Using the supplied miniDP-DP cable, and also the C2G miniDP-DP cable I bought from overclockers (not realising Iiyama already supplied the cable).

Thing is when I boot into Mac OSX I get 60hz. In windows the display driver is using MS Generic PnP Monitor. Wonder if Iiyama needs to release a specific ProLite B2888UHSU-B1 driver profile with the 60hz. Checked on their website and only downloads are for manuals.

Cheers

Does your Firepro D300 support 4k @60hz?

Thanks for that michaelosmolski. Your message just prompted me to go and check the AMD site for updated gfx drivers. I've now updated to the new amd gfx driver and now got 60hz in Windows as well.

Cheers

Good news mate I've been hard at work and have an even better ICS colour profile for you to use. Got the colour accuracy up all round too.

Here's the new colour accuracy settings after hours spent calibrating and tweaking with Spyder.

Awesome Matt! Just got mine a couple months ago and after a lot of messing arround with it I managed to get pretty decent colors, although not as good as yours (Blue is still a bit odd) Could you upload your colour profile again?

Matt, can I ask, in your experience in this thread of IPS TN differences do you notice the lack of IPS on the TN?
I know this sounds like a horrendously stupid question but it's been a long time since I owned a TN and I'm now looking at them again but I am not looking forward to dropping ~£500 on a panel that looks sub par compared to the IPS/PLS ones that I've been using for the last 8 years or so.
All that said, if I could eliminate IPS glow it might seal it for me, I can't stand it.

Yes i do. I'm not a huge fan of TN having used both, i much prefer IPS/PLS. However i do like the higher refresh rates of TN, but FreeSync has made a huge difference to the feel of IPS/PLS panels.

Hi Matt
I got this monitor my self and blue color is a bit off; Ι saw that you upload an ICC profile, and the question arises aren't there differences between monitors of the same model? So mine maybe won't benefit that much from your ICC profile? I wonder why companies don't release ICC profiles with every model they make? If you could you upload your colour profile again, I would like to test it :)

Hello Matt
I have the same Monitor but I am not happy with the colours I wanted to fix it by applying your ICC profile but the download does not exist anymore.
Could you please share that profile again. And do you still suggest those Monitor Settings

Thank you.
