I was reading the desk thread and someone mentioned making a "one piece of Ikea furniture" thread, however I can do one better (IMO)
A whole load of stuff from Ikea!

Have I over done it though?

Cinema room,
Desk, chair, footstool, side table and bin all Ikea.

I can imagine the first time i go to Ikea, i will come away with a replacement for every piece of furniture in my room.

Wait a minute... that's not all. :p

How about the bedroom. :D

Obviously the bed, oh and the bed linen and the duvet itself (15 TOG duck down F T W)

Erm Wardrobe too..

I have a Oppli too!
What do you think of the Jerker? How is the main desk and shelves fixed to the metal supports? I have Fredrick and although the main part rests on metal, it's only held by four screws. The two shelves are only pushed onto spikes.

Aint finished yet
Shelving and drawer unit...

Great bit of kit but you need some room for it, it's huge. :D

Someone asked me about the sturdiness last time I posted it.. in the desk thread.
I promptly stood on it. :D
Had it a good 5 or so years now at a guess.

A-hahahaha! Awesome :D Thats really funny posting.

Cant beat Ikea, love it :p

Edit: is that the advanced open water you got there? I'm doing that in Dec :)

Ikea stuff is fine, I've had that Oppli for a while and it's sturdy. I've had much more weight on it no problem.

i used to love ikea stuff, but as you grow up you tend to realise how shoddy the stuff really is :p

our coffee table is made of rock solid chunky canadian pine and wouldn't break even when subjected to 4 fully grown blokes standing on it! weighs a ton too, and best of all it isn't flat packed

Fine for a bedsit or a childs room yeah. Proper furniture doesnt come in flat cardboard boxes and require the use of nails to put together :p

Ikea is ok but some of the stuff is expensive and we get a lot of local built pine furniture for just a bit more but it last longer than Ikeas MDF/Chipboard crap.

No wonder the Ikea owner is the richest man in the Europe.
