I decided to leave the case where it was as I had no other option. I'm in the process of putting back my other peripherals and tidying the desk and cables up a bit (not forgetting to clean my room too!)

I'm going to look for some "cable tidy clip-on thing" as pointed out by Rossi to help me clean the cables a bit more as I got miles of cables tangled up under the desk next to the book shelf!
