I'm A Bit Stuck...

Hey, I've waited for the 5870's to come out and had a look at benchmarks and reviews, and I think they are fantastic. However, I am stuck between the 5870 or gtx 295, I will be planning on crossfireing the 5870 and if i got the gtx 295, i would sli that. But is it worth it tho, £50 dearer and only little fps? I will be purchsing either a 5870 or a gtx 295 by october 20th, just need a bit of help deciding I think i might go for the 5870.

Crossfire 5870 will be faster than quad sli gtx295 so in the long run your machine will be faster taking the 5870 route. The 5870 route will also be cheaper. Also the 5870 has dx11 so if you are not planning a gpu change soon you would be mad to get a gtx295 as when the dx11 games come out you won't be able to use dx11 with the gtx295.

I agree with this. I THINK that Nvidia will be putting out a price drop on the 295 soon.

true true but ive seen in some games gtx 295 gets more fps up 2 20 in a few games, but yeah im thinking of the 5870 route

Yea but just bear in mind this is a new card with immature drivers where as the gtx295 has been around for 9 months now.

Very true, im guessing for all of the fantastic graphics and aa new levels etc you would need monster cards to run them but yeah i think im gnna go for the 5870 thx guys
