I'm a dubber again !!!

:D I was going to get poly bushes for my dog bone mount, saved me a fortune now I know you just need some 16mm ply off cuts :p

Don't do it. I'm paying Seat to fit new OEM bushes in a couple of weeks.
Can't take the vibrations any more. Looking back there's absolutely zero benefits for having rock hard engine mounts on the road.

I don't know what I was thinking.

EDIT: - Oh and I'm taking about real polyurethane not woodethane lol

I wood say :D go for the upgraded wooden brace... it's rock hard when changing gear, but soft when idling....... kinda...... if it's dry....... and at a normal temp......

what gets me is that he would have to removed the whole dog bone to drill holes in it to then bolt the wood to !?!?!? JUST REPLACE IT

I have a polybush dog bone on my Golf 1.8t.. the vibrations aint too bad but it is a bit annoying @ up to 1.5k! I have an exhaust on mine now which kinda "mutes" the feeling if you like.

OMG @ the wood though!! lol

What does a dog bone do?

It is an additional brace to reduce longitudinal movement when the engine is under load.

I was thinking of poly bushes to reduce a little bit of wheel hop but I don't like the sound of added vibration. There isn't really any mention of it on the owners forum... but then again they don't mention the drone that a K&N filter creates either :o
