Okay, so i'm not. I'm not even that bright!

But i did just write a post and it seems that i stumbled across something worth thinking about by accident.
Maybe worth a poll if a passing Don would be so kind?

Is Christmas:

A) an important religious festival that should be sacred?

B) a nice excuse to all get together and be nice to each other?

I'm a B. Never been religious, and although i know that christmas is all about the birth of Jesus, I've never really been a believer. Yet even though i don't believe, i've always got pleasure from giving to those i care about, being with them, letting by-gones be by-gones and lets be honest, it's nice to get gifts too :)

So i say, regardless of religion, christmas is a special time because it's an excuse for us all to be nice to each other. Who hasn't wished a complete stranger a Merry Christmas? We all have. Would you talk to that stranger if you passed them on the street in July? Course not!!

I say Merry Christmas to all of you :)

c) a good excuse for a ****-up and stuffing yourself with junk.

d) expensive commercial cash-in.

e) a combination of all of the above.

f) a combination of all of the above, with the exception a 'A' because nobody cares about donkeys and wise men these days.

I'd go with B.

I'm not religious either, but it's a nice period where everyone seems to be slightly more civil to each other, and it's also nice when a stranger wishes you a Merry Christmas :D

Happy Holidays :)

It is just another day and I will proceed as usual but perhaps the telly might be a little better than normal, which is not hard. Christmas is irrelevant as far as I am concerned and before you ask my total spend over the festive period is £0, the number of cards sent zero, the number of gifts received zero, the number of decorations or trees erected 0 and the number of church services or other voluntary brainwashings attended is zero . The amount I care, beyond this post is also zero.

Merry Christmas. :)

G) A good excuse to chill out on my own, chistmas day whisky in hand, i'll be reflecting on the past, and contemplating on the the new year ahead, and making the most of my 3 day holiday from work :)

Same as option C

I'm not religious but I do strongly feel the spirit of Christmas and for me thats the important thing. It's more than just some time off work with your family, it's not like a normal holiday it feels more special than that. It's a time when you should stop what your doing in your life and think of others and apreciate the people around you.

It feels great when strangers wish you a Merry Christmas, it feels like there is a common bond between you, something that we don't often see these days.

Good will to all men...

Im not religious, Christmas is just fun so i celebrate it! :D

Hence why i'd never celebrate fasting or whatever it is, i'd not enjoy not eating!

F, but mostly B and C. More recently B because now I've got more money to spend on people, which I never thought I'd enjoy as much! :D And I'm seeing to it that this year we have loooaddsss of junk food :)
