Hmm, the last thing I can think of is to verify the game cache to make sure the download and install happened correctly:

It said 1 file was wrong re-installed it and it still doesn't work. I'll try it with a 360 pad, if it works then I'm happy. Thanks for all the help folks.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the pad working. I found that the mouse / KB combo was just as good as the pad, if not better.

Have you tried running the launcher in compatibility mode if not try that as well.

The pad is the way its meant to be played, excellent for those 30+combos.

Just an update, I got it working with keyboard!

Only took a re-install of everything >_> but I can't launch batman through steam have to do it through windows.

But so glad I can play it now. Going to use the little AA trick for smooth gfx.

Just for randomness sake, have you tried right clicking the exe and launhcing as adminstrator, just once, then exiting and returning to the game, and seeing if it functions as you'd like?

I have the exact same crash information on my Xp 32 bits with GTX 275 if I install the latest PhysX drivers (physx_9.09.1112 ). (I use latest nVidia Drivers, Direct X and Batman 1.1)

Using System Restore I was able to get back to my working configuration.

If I understand well I just need to skip the Launcher and it should work with the latest PhysX drivers?

Any other fix appear since then ?

Ok it works without the launcher.
If I want to use the Launcher to change settings I uninstall PhysX.
When I start the launcher it install its own version which works.
I then reinstall the latest version of PhysX and start BatmanAA with BmStartApp.
This is the Steam version of the game.

Don't start anything through steam, I can't get it to work through steam still. Just go into the binaries and start the application there.
