Im after a BMW Z4...

Where are your pics? Didn't you pick it up today?

Dont Rolleye me bitch!

I ended up picking it up late monday night. Its freaking awesome and I cant stop smiling :D Apologies for the serious lack of pics so far..Ive been far to busy driving it around.
Gonna get some decent pictures up tomorrow night :)

Z4, I fully recommend one. I`m not a big fan of modern cars but liked the Z4 as soon as they hit the roads. I picked up a <1 year old Z4 3.0 Si Coupe (Sport suspension, larger wheels, ///M wheel etc). I bought it just before Christmas last year and haven`t looked back. I drove an S2000 first and wasn`t sure but on driivng the Z4 it was perfect. I admit to being a BMW person anyway having only EVER owned BMW`s. In the past I`ve owned a 318i, 320i, two E30 M3`s (the first generation ///M3 - the best), an E46 320 Coupe and the Z4. The most fun I still have to say was the ///M3 Evo 2 (220BHP high revving screamer) but the Z4 is fabulous also.

I thought about getting the ///M Coupe but I couldn`t justify it. I drive many miles a year so the 3.0 made more sense. Picture below

Yep, that`s Dartmoor. I`m from Plymouth originally and still spend a lot of time there. I was working near Exeter from Oct 2007 to July this year and took the pics I think around March 2008 during a Hike on Dartmoor (the walk led to The Dewerstone near Shaugh Prior). I`m now missing in action somewhere near Milton Keynes :(. I miss Devon, won`t be down there until Christmas
Here`s another nice picture - of Dartmoor this time not the car (ignore !). Ah. I spent many a relaxing hour hiking around Dartmoor earlier this year - very nice.

Man that looks lovely! Mr Tombo your car better equal this or you'll be in trouble! Though I must say Darren I'm not a fan of those alloys. So change them please. Now please. :P

I'm looking for a Z4 coupe atm. One thing I'm interested in is the upgraded HiFi system. Until I find a local dealer with both so I can compare, can anyone tell me if it's worth it?

Out of all the Z4 coupes on the market, only around 10% seem to have the Hi-fi option. One of the top priorities for me for journeys is having a decent sound system, so is it THAT good? :)

Anyone know how to change it so the car automatically locks itself when you start driving? Also are there any other things you can do like that?

Damn, I'll have to keep looking then.

Do BMW retro fit Hifi options? Could I get the HiFi DSP fitted for example?

If its in the z4 then it would be a right pain, part of the package includes 2 subs (behind each seat where the storage area is). Better off finding one with it or upgrading to an aftermarket option. Think it was about a £700 option so no doubt will cost twice that once you factor in the labour charges.

Are after market stereo's in BMW's common? What size speakers do they use etc?
