If u cant see my saracasm u might tell i hate 4x4 owners who dont 4x4.

Balls :(

:D

Forester isn't like your average 4x4, just a nice big roomy comfy estate really. Not guzzling gas, and taking up all the road..

why not just buy an impreza tho? surely it does all the things that you do with the 4x4... but just better lol

Well he had an Impreza before so I doubt he'd have sold it if it was better for him.

Loved the Impreza but got a dog.. :)

I'm serious..what other new vehicles out there have the space and the performance for that sort of money ?

Of course I tortured myself about getting a secondhand RS4 and I would love one but as a new car the forester performance/price/practicality combination is pretty compelling..

..and I agree, it's never gonna win any beauty competitions - definately more Jordan than Jodie ;)

aaah, that makes more sense then lol i would have been tempted by something more unique like one of those twin turbo legacy models for a laugh.

i would start making notes on what cars every member has ever owned, but i quite like having a sociallife lol

True - although it was quite distinctive, in a contraversial, marmite kind of way ;)

blimey, all things considered, that is pretty tasteful lol

take it youre a bit of a scooby nut then lol

are dog cages easy to get for those things then?

another point. if i needed a car to ferry the dog around, surely some cheap shed would be better than a 20k brand new thing lol

fits your bill, seems like a stunner

Any particular reason or do you just hate every single person who doesn't use their vehicle for whatever purpose it was primarily designed for?

If the unintended use is irritating, pointless, and dangerous then yes.

He's made it quite clear its not pointless, its definetly not dangerous, and I don't see how it can be irritating. If we were talking about a huge great big hummer I'd get your point, but its not..

So driving the kids & dog around in an all-wheel-drive estate is "irritating, pointless, and dangerous"?

Okaaaaaaay

Holy Ugly Scooby Batman  :(

The Forester is nice.
But you should still take it along some beaches if there are any u can do that with in the UK or bounce it along some more bumbpy slippery roads then usual :D

Down here the Forester has a 5 Star safety rating and thats not easy to get.
I think why the poster in this thread is calling it dangerous is because if a little kid runs behind it while your reversing you wont see them because they might be lower then the back window.

I suspect his beef is against the big 4x4's being used on the school run, suggesting I think that they are dangerous in respect that they are big, heavy and not very friendly to pedestrians and other cars in event of an accident.

On which point I have a certain amount of sympathy and can understand. My points is though the Forester isn't really in the same category as those other Chelsea Tractors.

Especially since it's been further modded and is really more akin to a fast estate car than a big ole V6 Range Rover sport that never gets it's tyres muddy. :)
