I'm back!

I run NOD32 on everything at home. No worries here. Though none of those boxes are SMP-capable so are still in v5 land.

As for you Bigstan, I know you. You just didn't like me finding the Whisky bottles in your old cell and want them back. Well, you'll have to work for it. :p

Not that you should have any bother once you get that lot running again.

Crikey. Even when he is only running a fraction of his farm his output will be in the region of 8 or 9K. Very much more if those Quads and C2Ds are getting overclocked.

If he got his Quads and C2Ds to 3GHz he can expect 12K and beyond. *cries*

Above guestimates are based on the quads running 4 smp clients each and the C2Ds running one client each and based my own experience. Laptop hasn't been factored in but is probably good for a few K each week.

The quads will only be overclocked a bit. The B3 Q6600 will run at 3.0GHz but is a little unstable under the sort of load F@H will put on it (one core tends to die under Orthos at that speed) and the G0 Q6600 is a huge disappointment, the best I can get it to is 2.7GHz - anything above that and it doesn't want to know - these things are supposed to be good for 3.6GHz on air :( As a result, both quads will be running at about 2.7GHz. The G0 does run nice and cool though - 47C at full load under a Ninja.

The two duos (E6300 & E6600) were both quite happy at 3.0GHz before so I would imagine that's what they'll be running at.

I haven't decided for certain that that's what'll be happening yet but the two quads will definitely be running and probably at least one of the duos if not both.

Any idea how VMware runs on 64bit Windows ultimate? Might set up Ubuntu on the gaming rig if it works ok with VMware.
