Good on you mate.

So what does the schedule say on when to cheat on her? ;) (kidding)

In all honesty though, cheat on her. (Ha ha, kidding again!)]

Seriously, good luck with the future. Hope it all goes well. (and cheat on her...j/k :D)

got a "lol" :D

But Congrats dude, well played ;)

best of luck!

Great news - and keep us updated with everything  :)

I can't help thinking that at 20 years old you're a bit young.... However if you know it's right and it works out then it can only be a good thing. :) I wish you two all the best.

Congratulations, I see your only 20, I was 19 when i got engaged, and got married the month before I was 21, still going strong 13 years later.

Thanks to you both :)
Our age is my only worry really - In fact 'worry' is the wrong word, but it was something I thought about seriously. Certainly when I asked her Dad I thought there was a chance that he'd make a similar comment, but in the event he didn't mention it.
My thoughts are basically that while we're younger than most couples, only we can know when it feels right. I cant imagine spending my life with anyone other than this woman - or rather I can imagine it well enough to know I wouldnt be happy! We've also been together a rediculously long time for a couple our age. We started dating at 16, and moved in together (at university) at 18 so its not as though I'm rushing into this.

(Sorry for dragging the thread up again :) You didnt have to read it :P)

Dragging the thread up again...

We've set a date :)

After discussions with the vicar, and plodding around reception venues that cost more to hire for a day than our combined rent is for a year (not kidding!) we've settled on a place and date. Having said that, I probably shouldn't broadcast the exact details to the internet! But we're getting married in her old church in the town her parents live, and then holding the reception in a hotel in a nearby village. It'll be on the 21st July next year, a saturday.
