I'm having problems with my Samung SSD on a Intel platform

This is my PC specs:

Intel 3770K
ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard
Samsung SSD 128GB
Western digital HDD 500GB
AMD HD 7950
Corsair XMS 3 8GB


Now here is the problem. I installed Windows 7 on Samsung SSD and installed all the drivers from the disk. Everything was fine until I tried to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology, which gave me a BSOD. So I decided not install Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver. Now, I upgraded to Windows 8. Once again I installed Windows 8 on the Samsung SSD. Now this time when I tried to install all the chipset, Intel Rapid Storage Technology, AsMedia SATA III drivers, I get a BSOD or it will get stuck on boot-up screen. I downloaded all the new drivers for Windows 8

I thought it may be related to my Samsung SSD, so I switched to my Western Digital as my OS drive. All the problems I was experiencing did not occur on the Western Digital HDD. Every update install without any trouble.

So it appears this has to do with my Samsung SSD. Now, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Is it not compatible with Intel’s drivers?

Yeah it should be,I'm using Samsung pro with windows 8 just fine,ill link you to the rst drivers I used,be sure to use the latest motherboard BIOS aswell


EDIT: heres the rst drivers i used,they are the latest ones and worked fine for me

Thanks for the help, mate. But it still didn't work. It gets stuck on boot-up

You installed it on the Intel sata3 ports? The white ones? Does seem strange

So just don't use the RST driver? You're not missing out on anything really.
