I'm never going to see Game of Thrones

Takes a few minutes to download a episode and maybe a few hours to download all the seasons.

Or you can spend £ on buying the disks that you only watch once or maybe twice and sell afterwards.

Yeah, good luck finding a month-old console in the January sales.

I suspect you're quite right. However Blu Ray players are a bit cheaper than I thought, seems you can pick one up for £50 these days.

Is it worth spending any more than that on a BR player?

This is turning into an expensive month...

Nope, just get a cheap one imo. Amazon will be having their Black Friday sale week soon, might be worth a look. Likely will see a cheap blu-ray player on there and might even see the got box set also, just be sure to check prices else where first as some things ain't as cheap as they first appear.

I was not too please with that show, it was like i was always expecting something to happen. It looks great in 1080p bluray with 6 channel audio. But the show... a bit boring. I only got to middle of season 1, but nothing happened so far. Just a lot of talking about possibly doing something. I also find midgets annoying on tv series like that.

This is one of the many occasions when torrents are better choice

I either go torrent or blu ray as I want 5.1

Dude, So much happens unreal.

It's a really sad story. I've been trying to start watching this from Season 1, Episode 1, for a long time. Everybody says it's awesome.

I literally just upgraded to Sky Entertainment Extra+ with a new 12 month contract and a brand spanking new HD box, to watch this show.

And now Sky have removed it from their On Demand service, a month after a MASSIVE advertising campaign to let us know it was part of their (award winning, naturally) new On Demand package.

What's on Sky On Demand now? A complete load of ****. Massive bait and switch :(

The only place I can watch this show legally is asking £25 per series.

**** you Sky. And **** you Netflix, Blinkbox and all the rest.

I'm *not* paying £100 to watch this damn show! Oh well, I guess I'll never see it. And *yes*, I *am* mad, bro. Sky have played me like a sucker.

I wouldn't be too bothered tbh. The wife and myself tried watching GOT ages ago and we'd both given up on it about half way through season 1. It wasn't enough to keep our interest so we moved onto Breaking Bad instead :)

Waking Dead is still available and seems quite good from the 4 episodes I've watched so far.

My bro loves Breaking Bad. Not seen any of it yet.

You got Sky just to watch this?

Are you mad?

There were a few decent box sets advertised not just GoT. They mostly all got yanked after 28 days.

I also got the HD box because I just bought an HD telly. It used to be £10 more for HD but now it's £5 more, and this upgrade also unlocks the box sets (which used to be available to all, but are now for HD customers only, clever Sky).

There's always plenty to watch on Sky, although you're joined at a bit of a bad time as most of the new series started a few weeks ago.

I had completely the opposite reaction, I could never get into Breaking Bad (just hated the main character) but I loved Games of Thrones so much it actually made me read all the books between season 1 and 2 :)

.

If all else fail, start reading the books!

Sky can't take that away from you.

They're probably working on a way to though.

For the OP I would just be a little patient, the new series starts in Spring and as other posters have said they'll most likely add this to the On Demand service and re-run the series on Sky Atlantic in order to drum up interest.

What I am surprised they haven't done yet is move it onto one of the movie channels to try and get subscribers to add that package to their account.
