• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Im not happy...

I did yes, just wasn't sure if mentioning something about a competitor, but not mentioning a name was allowed.

And my comment about the posts being deleted was more of a "Ok, fair enough, fair play" :)

Edit:- I see, the "Disguising attempts to do any of the above" was the broken rule. Ok, I now know where I stand. Thanks for the warning.

If I send a message to infernox by clicking "Trust" and then "Click to send a message" next to Email Address, then that goes straight to him, and I can mention what I want, correct?

You can do what you like email to email, surely thats obvious. No point mentioning it here

If my products aren't packaged in water tight containers suspended in another box filled with viscous fluid, bubbled wrapped, with a big neon fragile sign on the front.... Then I'm not a happy bunny.

i would like that too.

on another note i ordered my ram / psu this morning so should be able to test the chip tomorow to see the damage and to see how well this little guy unlocks/ overdclockers like to see a x4 and 3.6ghz will post back :)

Edit : From OcUk i might add :) never again.. staying loyal this time .

I havent bought anything from an online competitor for about 3 years now, I just dont want the hassle, I know with OC that it will be delivered the next day, packaged well and I have only had 1 component I have had to return, which apart from the initial phone call to get an RMA number all further contact about it was done on the forum, which for me was good.

It cant be the competitor i used to get my Sapphire 5970, because it was like in a box - a big box with massive ammouts of poly/wrap securing it, then a brown box - securely taped, and inside that box was the sapphire 5970 (thought when it came it was one of those Christmas never-ending-box jokes.. he gets there in the end though)...

well i've ordered an OEM chip from OCUK, it's been dispatched so i'm just waiting.

luckily it's an intel LGA chip so no pins to bend.

hopefully they WON'T have bubble wrapped it, don't want it arriving static electri-fried now do i?

Bought an OEM Q6700 from OcUK last year and it was in a small cardboard box surrounded by protective foam, that box then amongst the usual excessive (Not a complaint ;)) array of OCUK bubble wrap :). So I'm thinking your chip will be fine mrtckane :)

I have had a load of components from one of the major competitors, the boxes of the various bits were just free the rattle about inside a larger box, like someone had stacked them inside and forgotten to fill the void with packing peanuts :(.

My new HDD arrived from OCUK. Took me at least 5 minutes to hack through the bubble wrap. There was more bubblewrap than hard drive! :P

A few years ago when I ordered an OEM CPU it was in a tiny cardboard box with a little bit of foam in it. It doesn't really matter since there is no moving parts. As long as there is something protecting the pins then the rest should be fine.

I really care about the real world difference of 100 Mhz lol

Not only, 555 are on new improved stepping which makes them OC much better and have a lot higher chance for unlock.

Anyways, on the topic, AMD retail CPUs have very good packaging so I wouldn't worry, I won't be surprised even if they just sent it in the retail box alone without any extra packaging.

Built the pc on friday and its all working fine much improvement over my 2400+ lol

i dont know weither the proccessor unlocks as im still on stock cooler will buy one this week and give it a go and see how well she will oc aswell :)

i love booting in 2 seconds flat
