I promised myself that I wouldn't, but in the end I it did anyway...
Sold my GTX580 and purchased a GTX680.
Good stuff:
Bad stuff:
Yeah I know, pointless thread is pointless. So I suppose I should ask a question...
I've never really been into GPU overclocking so I'm a little unsure... What is the best OC tool for the 680? And what is a safe frequency for day-to-day gaming, but with a decent performance boost (i.e. more than 5fps)?
Sold my GTX580 and purchased a GTX680.
Good stuff:
- It runs at 99% utilization on my i7 920 @ 3.6Ghz.
- BF3 now running smoothly ~ultra settings @ 1440p.
- Its noticeably quieter.
- Definitely cooler too.
- Haribo was lush
- Zotac branded 680 is fairly good with 5 year warranty and Assassin's Creed 3-Game pack included.
Bad stuff:
- Did I really just spend all that money?
- I'm such a geek

- Just my luck there'll probably be a price drop next week
- I'm to scared to overclock it atm
- I actually got more pleasure from the Haribo than installing the card
